Your IV Therapy Questions
From safety and timing to what to expect during your visit, these are the questions we hear most often.
Contact usHow do I know if I should seek urgent care instead?
If you have severe abdominal pain, blood in vomit or stool, signs of confusion, fainting, or you cannot keep fluids down at all, urgent care may be the safest choice. We will ask screening questions before confirming a visit. When in doubt, prioritize medical evaluation.
Can you treat me while I am still nauseated?
Yes. Many clients seek IV therapy when nausea or vomiting has made it difficult to stay hydrated. Your Zenia nurse may administer anti-nausea medications when appropriate, while monitoring your hydration status.
What should I do before the appointment?
If you can tolerate it, take small sips of water or an oral electrolyte drink. Rest, and keep a clear path to a comfortable chair or couch. We will guide you with simple steps when you schedule.
Is this appropriate for children?
Policies vary by provider and protocol. If you are asking about a minor, please contact us so we can confirm age requirements and safety guidelines. In many cases, pediatric dehydration should be evaluated by a medical provider.
